The Batman prequel, Gotham, returns from its winter hiatus on Fox. As DC Comics characters make his way onto the TV screen, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) meet with Dr. Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) in 'Rogues Gallery.'

As a security guard at Arkham Asylum, Jim watches a play performed by the inmates. While Gotham City deals with the rain, Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) takes care of young Poison Ivy, who has been living in the streets, and breaks into Jim's place. While Gruber, Aaron, and Dorothy are delivering their lines, a riot suddenly ensues.

After the riot at Arkham, Jim is chewed out by the director, who blames him for what happened. He then meets Dr. Leslie Thompkins, who is impressed by Jim's back-story. While the Penguin (Robin Taylor)  gets knocked out by the police, Jim discovers a dead inmate in their cell.

While Jim investigates the inmates, he discovers one of the guards lost the keys. After another inmate is found electrocuted, Jim realizes the missing key was a distraction. Jim warns Leslie that he is going to start investigating the staff.

Harvey makes a visit to Arkham and sees the two victims.  After hugging his old partner, Harvey deals with the director and places him under arrest. The director has the medical training to operate and knowledge of the electrical equipments, which makes him Harvey's number one suspect.

While Bullock interrogates the director, Jim heads down to the basement with Dorothy, who turns out to be an ex-inmate. Unfortunately, Leslie interrupts and almost gets attacked by Dorothy. Jim saves her but Dorothy allows all the inmates to be released from their cells.

During the riot, the inmates start chasing after Dorothy and Leslie. Dorothy dies in the process as the inmates stampede over her. Gordon stalls for time, while Leslie gets to the keys and locks the key behind them.

After Renee breaks up with her, Barbara (Erin Richards) calls Jim but young Poison Ivy answers. Ivy pretends to be an older women, which makes Barbara jealous. Ivy smirks as Barbara ends the call yelling, throwing her phone at the wall.

While Jim, Harvey, and their captain celebrate closing their case, the medical examiner comes into the room with photos. It appears that Dorothy was also a victim of the electrical experiments too. Their real culprit happens to be Aaron, who is being mind-controlled by Gruber.

Gruber leaves a letter on the dead director for Jim to read. He wishes they had one last chance to meet before his escape. Aaron is Gruber's most successful experiment at Arkham.

Sal Maroni (David Zayas) isn't too happy when he sees Penguin in lock-up. The Penguin was raising taxes on his own behalf and hurting the welfare of the working man. After teaching the Penguin about hubris, Sal orders one of the police officers to him go.

If Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) wants to take over Falcone's territory, she has to convince his second-in-charge to join her side. Butch meets with the rival because they happen to be best friends. The rival promises to get rid of Fish and give all her territory to Butch.

Butch meets with his best friend again, the rival of Fish Mooney. After apologizing for what he did as a kid, Butch takes out his gun and shoots him. Butch walks out and drives away, leaving a dead mobster behind him.

The Elecutioner has escaped from Arkham Asylum. Readers, what did you think of Rogues' Gallery?
