It looks like everyone's favorite housewives city might be packing things in and calling it a day. The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been left with a pretty big decision now that their most famous star is behind bars, and the network is wondering if it will be able to carry on the show without Teresa Giudice. While there have been rumors that past cast members, including Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita and Kathy Wakile would be returning to the series to fill the void left by Giudice, it seems that now the network is thinking about canceling the series altogether.
According to Radar Online, the network feels like even if it were to bring back past cast members full-time, it still wouldn't feel like it would be enough to make up for Giudice's departure.
"At this point, The Real Housewives of New Jersey is essentially done," a source explained to the site. "Bravo has considered all of their options and they don't feel like there is really a show without Teresa. Whether the other women want to admit it or not, she is the star of the franchise. The show simply wouldn't be the same without her."
There was also speculation that the show would start filming again once Teresa is out of jail in spring 2016, but it seems that it would be too long of a gap for fans to have to wait.
"Realistically, she wouldn't even be able to begin filming until 2016," the source explained. "Filming typically takes four to six months, and then production still has to edit the footage. That would be way too long of a delay for the series."
Despite all this negative news, it seems Teresa is doing her best to stay strong. According to The Inquistr, "Teresa was extremely professional and didn't cry" when she reported to jail. "She was determined not to look weak in front of anyone."
