Kathy Griffin 'Fashion Police': Joan Rivers Replacement Talks Golden Globes & Celebrities – Returns With Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic & Brad Goreski Next Week [VIDEO]

It is looking like its going to be a pretty busy week for Kathy Griffin, as the comedienne is getting ready to take over the reins of Fashion Police. The series is gearing up for its first show following the death of host Joan Rivers earlier this year, and Griffin will be joined by fellow co-hosts Kelly Osbourne and Guilana Rancic as well as newbie Brad Goreski, as they critique the questionable and outstanding fashion from this year's 2015 Golden Globe Awards.

The star sat down with E! News where she opened up about taking over the position and whether or not she thinks she will be able to fill the huge shoes left behind by the 81-year-old comedienne.

"I am no Joan and she left such big shoes to fill that I brought my own slippers," Griffin explained to the news site. "I will continue in the fearless approach that she had about celebrities and pop culture and fashion."

It might have taken a lot for Griffin to agree to the new job offer but she explained that once she got a call from Joan's daughter Melissa Rivers, that she knew she would have had the late star's blessing, according to Perez Hilton.

"Melissa called me and she said, 'I know that my mom would have given you and you alone the blessing' and that really was it," the star stated. "First of all, Melissa was Joan's world and I think that Joan took the show to another level and I will do it in my way because obviously we are two completely different people."

So what are the words that Rivers would have given Kathy for advice had she been alive? Well, Griffin says it would have been to put it all out there and don't hold back.

"She would say, 'Go for it. Don't ever hold back and certainly not in comedy," the comedienne explained. "So I hope the celebrities remember that when I'm going for them in a humorous, loving way. I'm not going to hold back. Screw them all. Let's have some fun."
