'Grease' Fox Live Musical 'Dancing With The Stars' Julianne Hough And 'Spring Breakers' Vanessa Hudgens Join Cast: Will Zac Efron 'High School Musical' Reunion Happen?

Are they the ones that you want? Fox has just unveiled the cast for its newest musical production, which will be taking to the stage in winter 2016. Fans better get ready to go back to the halls of Rydell High, as the network is taking on the iconic musical Grease. While the production might be almost a year off, we're getting excited for the musical, as the network has already announced two of the lead roles.

That's right, Fox has already unveiled who will be playing the iconic roles of Sandy Olsen and Rizzo. Dancing with the Stars judge Julianne Hough will play the role made famous by Olivia Newton-John, while Spring Breakers star Vanessa Hudgens will tap into her bad girl persona to bring the role of Rizzo to life.

While this news is making the theater geek in us freak, it seems that no one is more excited for the roles than Hough and Hudgens themselves, as the stars spoke out to E! News to explain their excitement.

"Grease is one of the movies that made me want to be an entertainer, and I have literally been waiting my whole life to play Sandy," Julianne explained. "My siblings and I watched it and played it out over and over when we were kids. This is my dream role and performing it live on television will be one of the most thrilling opportunities I've had in my career so far."

Hudgens share the enthusiasm, as she explained, "Being Rizzo is something I've never imagined, and I love that because it will be a new challenge. She is such an iconic character that continues to transcend generations. I cannot wait to bring her to life on live television," before excitedly adding, "I'm going to be a Pink Lady!"

Could this production also see a High School Musical reunion between Vanessa and her former lover Zac Efron, as the actor has speculated that he would be happy to take on the role of Danny Zuko.

Bustle compiled a list of eight reasons Efron would make the perfect Danny, and it included the fact that he has "great hair" and "he looks amazing in a leather jacket." Both points we can't deny.

Grease will take to the stage Jan. 31, 2016.
