Based on the crime novels of Elmore Leonard, the final Season 6 season premiere of Justified has finally arrived on FX. The showdown between cop and criminal begins when Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) and Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) deal with 'Fate's Right Hand.'

In Mexico, Raylan meets with the local law enforcement, who don't like him. Raylan wants to know about Boyd's dead crew buried there, but his badge is a joke across the border. He crashes his car into a Mexican police vehicle and kidnaps the officer.

Keeping the officer in his trunk, Raylan returns stateside along with him. After the officer confessed everything, Raylan heads back to the office to meet with Erica (Rachel Brooks) and Vasquez (Rick Gomez). They have a plan to make Dewey Crowder (Damon Herriman), who has been released from prison, talk by pinning the murders on him.

Because he's homeless and has nowhere else to go, Dewey needs Boyd's help fast. At the bar, Dewey gets a gun pointed at his head by Boyd. Dewey explains to Boyd that they were meant to meet again; that it's a sign from above.

Ava (Joelle Carter) is now working at hair salon and meets with Raylan in the back. Because she's afraid of Boyd finding out, Ava keeps thinking he's going to kill her. Rylan reminds Ava that she killed her abusive husband Bowman Crowder; she can do it again.

Because he's one man short and the Feds are after him, Boyd somehow needs to pull off the bank heist. He gets Dewey to drive another vehicle for him and make sure the bag inside is delivered. While Raylan and Tim (Jacob Pitts) are watching Boyd, they decide to go after Dewey instead and find out what's in the bag.

Dewey ends up crashing his car after Raylan and Tim chase after him. Raylan takes out the bag inside Dewey's vehicle and discovers a pair of  dirty laundry. Dewey was supposed to be a distraction while the real crime took place.

Boyd and his crew rob the bank and make their getaway. Raylan points the blame at Tim for picking Dewey. Unfortunately for Boyd, the economy is pretty bad at Harlan County that there wasn't any money in the bank to steal.

After meeting with Ty Walker (Garret Dillahunt), Raylan visits Art (Nick Searcy) at his place, talking about options, If Raylan kills Boyd, he loses his badge and goes to prison. But there's still the question, is Boyd faster than Raylan in a quick draw?

Dewey runs back after Boyd, angry that he used him as guinea pig. In tears, Boyd is sorry for betraying Boyd; he just wants things to be like they were before. The two start to reminisce about the old days.

While distracting Dewey, Boyd takes out his gun and shoots him in the head. The reason Boyd killed Dewey is because he couldn't trust him anymore.

Boyd isn't sure if he can trust Ava in Justified. Readers, what did you think of Fate's Right Hand?
