Based on the French supernatural drama, Les Revenants, A&E will premiere their American remake pilot this upcoming March. The Returned features an all-star studded cast that includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Rowan Blackshaw), Jeremy Sisto (Peter Lattimore), and Mark Pellegrino (Jack Winship) as they watch the dead rise from the graves.

The remake and original follow the same basic premie, the narrative follows the grieving residents of a small town. Their whole world is suddenly turned upside down when several local townspeople, who have been long presumed dead, reappear alive and well. The strange phenomena brings both positive and detrimental consequences to everyone involved.

According to Bloody-Disgusting, executive producers Carlton Cuse (The Strain), who has already written the script, and Raelle Tucker (True Blood) have teamed up to work on the adaptation. The first season consists of 10 episodes. Agnes Bruckner (24), Kevin Alejandro (True Blood), and Aaron Douglas (Battlestar Galactica) are also included in the cast.

Before you say Resurrection, don't forget this is an A&E drama. The trailer is already darker and grittier than the ABC program. Though both shows are based on Les Revenants, there is a major difference between the two. When you have Lost on your resume, you know how to keep a mystery going and keep the surprises coming.

Notice how no one says the word, "zombie," in the trailer. Can people still die in a town where the death doesn't even matter?

Season 3 of Bates Motel is also scheduled to return on A&E, March 9, 2015. The teaser trailers, Becoming Psycho and Peep Hole, were released to announce the premiere date. Check them out if you're anxious to see Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) lose his mind.

The Returned premieres on A&E March 9th at 10pm.

Readers, are you excited to see this remake?
