Fox has announced a new addition to the growing cast of the Batman prequel, Gotham. A frightening villain from DC Comics' infamous rogues gallery, The Dollmaker (Colm Feore) arrives on the TV show to cause trouble for detectives Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock  (Donal Logue).

In our previous recap, Gordon (McKenzie) and Bullock (Logue) had to deal with the Dollmaker, without actually meeting him. The Dollmaker's crew was rounding up runaway children, including Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova). Gordon and Bullock arrived at the criminal hideout, with guns blazing, shooting down the crew and rescuing the children.

In our recent recap, after returning from Arkham Asylum, Gordon came back to the force with a new mission. Cleaning up his precinct, Gordon took down the corrupt detective Flass, but the arrest came with a moral cost. Elsewhere, Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) is on the run from the Penguin (Robin Taylor), who has taken control over her nightclub.

According to Deadline, The Chronicles of Riddick actor has been cast to play the notorious super villain. In the Dark Knight mythology, Barton Mathis saw his father shot down by Gordon, when he was a rookie police offer. Barton's mask is made of rotting skin from his deceased father.

On the show, Dr. Francis Dulmacher is the shadowy mastermind behind the massive kidnappings. As the site states, "With a zealotry bordering on madness, and aided by his genius-level intellect and vast medical expertise, Dr. Dulmacher pursues his demented researches, even as the bloody costs of his actions grow ever greater."

With the Batman prequel renewed for second season, we will have to wait and see if the Dollmaker will continue to cause havoc on Gotham City in future episodes. What we definitely know is that audiences will meet Dr. Crane, aka Scarecrow in the next episode.

Gotham continues on Fox Mondays at 8pm.
