Enjoying Girls season four? Get ready for a big shock this week, because fourth episode "Cubbies" is heavy... and has a helluva special guest at the very end of the episode. The HBO show's last episode found Hannah Horvath (Lena Dunham) worried and in Iowa with new roomie Elijah (Andrew Rannells), leaving her boyfriend Adam (Adam Driver) and closest friends Marnie (Allison Williams), Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) and Jessa (Jemima Kirke) behind in New York. In episode four, we dig further into Hannah's new life in Iowa, but also hang out with Marnie and Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Shosh, Ray, Adam and Jessa back in NYC. But the end of this episode has one huge shock, and a surprise special guest.

As pointed out in our recap of last week's episode, there's been drama aplenty already and, unsurprisingly, a lot of stuff doesn't seem to be going right for our brave foursome... especially when it comes to record company meetings or peeing in public!
Hannah has been dealing with moving to Iowa and leaving Adam in New York, while Marnie copes with the stress of being the 'other woman' while struggling with her musical partnership with Desi... even while their sexual one was going gangbusters.
Last week Elijah and Hannah grappled with some big questions about her career in Iowa before Hannah told her classmates that they ned to be honest with each other and that she refused to be pigeonholed.... before pigeonholing all of her compadres.
Adam and Jessa, meanwhile, were arrested for resisting arrest after Jessa was fined for peeing in public, and Shoshanna threw away a perfectly good job. Marnie and Desi had an important musical meeting that led to a lot of tension, and Ray slept with Marnie again.
But as HitFix's Alan Sepinwall pointed out, it's only a matter of time before we figure out if Hannah gives up on Iowa.
In "Cubbies" Hannah hangs out with her new classmates in Iowa, tackles her writing demons and delivers some honest appraisals of her situation... Shosh gets an honest appraisal of what's wrong with her, and Marnie gets some less-than flattering opinions from Jessa about her musical career.
The best parts of the episode though? It definitely involves everything to do with Ray and his traffic problem... and that surprise special guest.
