Will we see Professor Charles Xavier in the upcoming Wolverine 2 movie, which has a release date set for March 3, 2017? We recently reported on the news that Professor X and Magneto (Sir Ian McKellan) wouldn't be returning to the X-Men franchise is Bryan Singer's 2016's film, X-Men: Apocalypse, but now Stewart is adding an update to that information-and it's pretty great news for comic book fans.

Apparently, McKellan will be in the upcoming X-Men sequel!

"Magneto, Ian McKellen, is certainly going to be in it," he said in an interview with The Oregonian, also stating that filming is about to begin in Montreal.

We're not too sure if McKellan is in the new film, since it will also star Michael Fassbender in the younger version of the role, but who knows!

Stewart also mentioned that he could appear in the next Wolverine stand-alone movie, which he's very excited about.

"What I'm very excited about is that we have been talking about a Wolverine movie, which would team Hugh Jackman and myself together," the actor revealed. "Wolverine and Professor Xavier. That would be a very different sort of X-Men from the four movies that I've already done."
