According to a number of sources, after Marvel and Sony decided to team up to bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and its Phase 3 movie schedule, Amazing Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield has turned down the opportunity to return as the web-slinging comic book hero. With that in mind, we think that the studios will be looking to replace the actor as soon as possible, especially with a new stand-alone film scheduled for a 2017 release. Rumors suggest that executives want a younger, high school-aged Peter Parker, so who do you think will be cast as Garfield's replacement?

With this new deal between Sony and Marvel, it looks like a replacement needs to be sorted out quickly. We expect news of Garfield's replacement, or at least plenty of rumors, to emerge soon, but for new we've compiled a list of actors we think would make a great Peter Parker in the Marvel films.

Here are our top 5 choices for the next Spider-Man actor:

Josh Hutcherson

If Marvel really wants to ride the success of a competing movie franchise like The Hunger Games, why not just cast one of its breakout stars? Hutcherson, 22, has won the hearts of millions of fans as Peeta Mellark in the blockbuster film series, so he should be a top choice for the role of Parker. Plus, he already campaigned for the most recent Spider-Man reboot with a cool audition tape. Watch it here:

Donald Glover

The Internet wanted Glover to play Spider-Man back when Garfield was cast, so Marvel could please plenty of people by casting the Community star. Plus he voices the current animated version of the web-slinger, Miles Morales! Unfortunately, the actor is 31 years old, making him a longshot for the desired high school-aged Parker.

Tyler James Williams

If (and it's definitely a big "if") Sony and Marvel want to really shake things up and lean towards the Miles Morales Spider-Man, Tyler James Williams would be perfect. He currently stars in AMC's The Walking Dead, but has won over critics and fans alike in Dear White People. He's 22 years old, so if Marvel isn't looking for a white Parker, Williams would be great!

Logan Lerman

Lerman is arguably the biggest rising star in a lot of ways. He's most known for his roles in the Percy Jackson franchise, which definitely helps with the whole superhero mentality, but he's also becoming a big dramatic actor. He was recently in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Noah and Fury, proving his acting chops and making him one of the more recognizable young stars out there. At the age of 23, he can definitely pull off a young Peter Parker.

Dylan O'Brien

O'Brien is pretty much another version of Lerman, but his recent leading role in the YA novel adaptation The Maze Runner and his TV work on MTV's Teen Wolf makes him a more attractive choice in terms of drawing a younger audience to theaters. He's also 23, so he fits the bill.

We expect to hear news of casting a replacement for Garfield soon, and we're pretty confident it could be one of the actors above. But what if Garfield were to change his mind? Is it too late for that? Would you like to see him as Spider-Man again? We think it's too late, but will you really miss Garfield?
