'Nurse Jackie' Season 6 DVD/Blu-Ray: Will Edie Falco Discover "Jackie Peyton's Fall?" [WATCH]

Showtime has released Season 6 of the medical drama, Nurse Jackie, on DVD and Blu-Ray. In the behind-the-scenes footage, award-winning actress Edie Falco (The Sopranos) discusses Jackie Peyton's fall, which made her such an realistic and resonating character amongst viewers.

The Showtime series follows Jackie (Falco), a New York City nurse juggling her work at an urban hospital and her chaotic personal life. Not only is she a dedicated nurse, she is also risking her professional career and her own family as a hardcore drug addict

According to Variety's recap of the sixth season finale, Jackie was on her to JFK when she suddenly crashed her car into an ambulance. All her pills, the multi-colored capsules. came out flying in the air. No longer able to cover-up her addiction, the police appeared to have her in custody before the end credits rolled out.

In this behind-the-scenes clip, the 30 Rock actress speaks candidly alongside Merritt Wever (Zoey Barkow) and series producer Liz Flahive about the development and transformation of her character during this season's downward spiral.

Falco reveals, "The mind of an addict makes more sense to me than normal people. [Laughs] Addiction is a very complicated disease. A lot of times its predisposition for addiction, in conjunction with inner pain you're trying to down out."

As we previously mentioned, we are very excited to see Katie Holmes joining leading man Liev Schreiber and recurring guest star Ian McShane on Ray Donavan. With the upcoming relaunch of David Lynch's Twin Peaks and season 5 of Homeland, we can't wait to see these shows on Showtime.

The sixth season of Nurse Jackie is out on DVD and Blu-Ray now.
