Before Benedict Cumberbatch plays on the big screen, Doctor Strange faces an epic battle against Rabum Alal, The Great Destroyer. Ahead of Marvel Comics' Secret Wars crossover event, writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Kev Walker bring readers an action-packed installment as Earth's mightiest heroes have to stop the destruction of every single universe in New Avengers #31.

According to the plot synopsis, the Avengers and the Illuminati are in race against the clock to prevent the death of their universe. The source of the Incursions has remained a mystery until now. Another signpost on the road to Secret Wars has been planted. The identity of this mysterious destructor and the origin of the Incursions will finally be revealed.

From what little is known, Rabum Alal comes from an alternate Earth, which died due an early heat death. With this alternate Earth missing, other universes in the multiverse have been crashing into each other, causing the Incursions. Dr. Strange believes the Great Destroyer and the Ivory Kings are competing against each other to destroy the Multiverse.

As we previously mentioned, Secret Wars features the Marvel superheroes from alternate realities coming together to meet in an epic standoff. The Marvel's superheroes and super-villains will be forced to defend themselves for the survival of their universe. There will be no Marvel Universe, no Ultimate Universe, or any other, just Battleworld.

The Ultimate Universe is on a collision course with Earth-616 in Ultimate End #1, which teases a finale for Miles Morales. With the Avengers no more, She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, and more of Marvel's strongest heroines form from the ashes and join together in the new team, A-Force. Wolverine returns from the grave, ready to pop out his claws one more time in Old Man Logan #1

New Avengers #31 arrives in stores on March 11, 2015.
