Based on the Alfred Hitchcock suspense thriller, Psycho, Bates Motel explores the events that prelude to the serial massacre in the A&E drama. In the upcoming Season 3, will Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) and Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) ever decide to become "normal" in March?
As we previously mentioned, Bates Motel follows the younger years of tortured teen Norman (Highmore) and his manipulative mother, Norma (Farmiga). Destined to become a psychopath, did Norman lose his mind from the very beginning? Or was his psychosis forced upon him by his surroundings and the corrupt townspeople around him? Will Dylan (Max Thieriot) save his brother before their own family and town tears them apart?
TV Line released a new teaser trailer featuring footage of Norman and his mother in the upcoming season. The main protagonists, "put their borderline incestuous relationship, ahem, to bed, setting the stage for his tragic transformation into the wiggy, knife-wielding Peeping Tom of Psycho infamy."

The teaser trailers, Becoming Psycho and Norma/Norman Transformation, were previously released, featuring both Norma and Norman in a hallucinogenic dream, with the camera circling around repeatedly.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "after someone makes a pointed remark about Norman and Norma's unique relationship, Mama Bates will decidedly take some drastic measures to put some distance between them. Though, after she gets some bad news of her own, it ends up being a flimsy attempt. However, Norman will finally take a step towards putting his focus on another woman for once-two, actually, and he does so in very different ways."
Expect new faces this season as Joshua Leonard (The Blair Witch Project), Kevin Rahm (Mad Men), and Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy) join the cast.
Season 3 of Bates Motel is scheduled to air on A&E, March 9, 2015.
