According to Making Star Wars, a website that has been keeping everyone updated on pretty much every Star Wars rumor, the opening sequence of The Force Awakens could have been revealed this week. This most recent rumor comes straight from the website, which explains that this opening sequence has been altered from previous, alleged opening scenes from the film, revealed through a script leak.

"The film does open with a lightsaber in space. It falls to the ground in a savannah environment during the day," the new post on the website explained. "It is quickly discovered by a farmer named Naka. Naka accidentally ignites the weapon and starts a fire with it. At first he runs, but then turns around and obtains the weapon. I assume he snatches the weapon so it is not destroyed in the fire. Naka then takes the weapon to his elder called The Vicar."

According to Gamma Squad, this post goes on to speculate that The Vicar is most likely played by Max Von Sydow who contacts the Rebels, bringing about the X-Wing scene from the teaser trailer.

This new rumor also states that the opening sequence involves a TIE Fighter being stolen and a village battle. In other words, it sounds like the action kicks off right away this December!
