Though we can't really count on any solid information coming out about J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we know that new rumors are sure to pop up, adding to the anticipation of the 2015 film. This week, some speculation around up-and-coming actor Domhnall Gleeson and the character he's been cast as suggest some dark and interesting plot details for the Disney and Lucasfilm movie. According to a new rumor, Gleeson could be an Imperial officer in the new movie, but that's not even the most interesting part! Keep reading below for more possible spoilers about this character.

From what we can tell from the teaser trailer released a few months ago, there are some known details about a number of characters. Daisy Ridley looks like a normal civilian or outsider that comes into the story for a bigger purpose; John Boyega is wearing a Stormtrooper who most likely defects; and Oscar Isaac is a Rebel Alliance leader. We also saw the new lightsaber, wielded by an apparent Sith lord named Kylo Ren, but we don't know what actor is playing the part.

Meanwhile, this new rumor of Gleeson being an Imperial officer is quite intriguing. Sure, we need Imperial officers, but this rumor claims his character learned of some unsavory Rebel plans and defected to the Empire! In other words, he's the opposite of Finn, John Boyega's character. Basically, this could mean that we'd be getting two sides of the story in Episode VII.

On top of that, the rumor goes on to speculate that Gleeson's character is Luke Skywalker's son. He does look like Mark Hamill, so that makes sense, but Star Wars fans know that the teachings of the Jedi forbid relationships (see the prequel trilogy). This rumor comes from Making Star Wars.

So this would mean that Luke Skywalker, the "New Hope," just forgets about his teachings and gets someone pregnant. Not cool, Luke.

Ignoring that last part of the rumor, this sounds pretty cool: a Rebel leaving for the Empire.
