'Person Of Interest' Season 4 Recap: 'Blunt': What Are Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson Smoking?

Season 4 of Person of Interest continues with an all-new action-packed episode on CBS. With Shaw (Sarah Shahi)'s whereabouts still unknown, will Finch (Michael Emerson) and Reese (Jim Caviezel) discover what Samaritan's agents have been smoking in 'Blunt?'

Reese and Finch follow their new number, Harper, who happens to be a college student. While Reese spots Harper at a medical marijuana dispensary, Root (Amy Acker) shows up at the hideout, angry and bitter. The Machine wants Root to make the app and get the attention of the right people. She hands Finch a gift before she leaves again. 

At the medical marijuana dispensary, Reese notices Harper is a cashier. He overhears a conversation about a cash pickup. After the Brotherhood, Dominic (Winston Duke)'s people, ambush the heist, Reese discovers Harper switched bags and has taken the stolen money. Reese learns the hard way that Harper doesn't want his help. 

At Harper's dorm room, Reese discovers multiple IDs in her dorm room and a plan to steal the money. Fusco (Kevin Chapman) discovers more information about Harper, who is really a small-time grifter. After Finch fails tracking root, Dominic finds out his shipment was stolen and realizes Detective Reilly was involved. 

While Dominic's crew go after Tray, Fusco discovers Harper likes to go clubbing. At the club, Harper tells Reese she used to money to pay off the owner and her bills. At the dance floor, Reese takes down a bunch of Dominic's men. Fusco grabs a hold of Harper after she runs out the door. 

At the diner, Harper is handcuffed to Fusco. With Tray missing and held hostage, Dominic knows gamers spend money over the internet, which is a way for him to launder his cash from the medical marijuana dispensary. Reese sends a violent message to Dominic; his money for the lives of Harper and Tray. 

While Root is fulfilling the Machine's orders. Dominic meets with Reese. He knows no cop would pay off a homeless grifter. Dominic is ready for Elias, but with Reese, he will switch Tray for Harper. When Dominic's men enter the room, Fusco has his sniper rifle aimed at him. Putting her plan into motion, Harper goes to Nico, who is a rival of Dominic's, and stages a setup. 

During the standoff between Nico and Dominic, Reese manages to sneak inside and rescue Tray. When the police arrive, Fusco leads the arrest of Nico's cartel but Dominic gets away scot-free. Knowing how smart and resourceful she is, Dominic offers Harper a chance to join his side.

Root is actually offered a job that could get her close to Samaritan. After Harper says her good-bye, Finch steals her ring before she disappears.
