As Peter joins Emma for a walk, Debbie talks with Josh, who is scared and crying. He is being raised to realize his destiny. Debbie lets him go outside to feel the sunlight and grass. Emma is studying archeology and shows him the dig she is working on.

While Peter and Emma go skinny-dipping, they start making out int he water. Peter followed her because she reminds him of someone he lost. The two hide when they hear trespassers and an animal. They have stumbled upon a sacrificial ceremony.

During Golan's interrogation, the fugitive was hiding a stolen artifact. Emma teases she will see Peter and drops something into his pocket. He listens to the last voicemail his daughter left for him. Back at headquarters, Golan has a police report about a dead body. Peter discovers someone has murdered Emma.

Debbie suddenly discovers Joshua, a twin of Josh's. In the desert, Fay takes out her gun and shoots him dead. Peter wakes up from the car crash and sees his prisoner being taken away. Peter starts chasing after the car on foot. He discovers the car empty on the side of the street.

Spotting a clue, Peter finds himself with a gun pointed to his head. In his pocket is the gem Emma put in. His prisoner escapes with Emma's gem.

Peter finds a drawing of the gem in Emma's journal. Golan has arrived at Peter's place because he was the last person Emma spoke to.
