Season 3 of the CW's Arrow returns on Wednesday, but the cast of the show assembled at PaleyFest 2015 on Saturday and previewed the show's return. Star Stephen Amell dropped some major information about the rest of Season 3 during the panel.

"It's going to get worse before it gets better," Amell said of Oliver Queen's situation, according to TVLine. The actor said it's "interesting to have a Big Bad who's very interested in Oliver staying alive," given Ra's al Ghul's offer at the end of the latest episode to have Oliver replace him as the head of the League of Assassins.

Amell also acknowledged the fairly obvious point about the offer. "If you know Ra's and his tactics... you realize that it's an 'offer' in name only. It's a demand," he said. "And if Oliver says no, there will be incredibly dire consequences."

The actor added that Ra's' offer and Oliver's struggle with it will lead to "the big thrust of the last third of the season" that results in a "more defeated" Oliver. But Amell also offered some hope for his character because after apporximately "70 episodes of 'Don't talk to me'" and emotional isolation, the leader of Team Arrow has to find a light at the end of the tunnel. "You can only stare broodingly out a window for so long," he said.

In case you missed it, here is the official description for the upcoming Episode 16.

"DC COMICS’ VILLAIN MURMUR SWEEPS INTO STARLING CITY — Still weighed down by his last meeting with Ra’s al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable), Oliver (Stephen Amell) returns home to find a new villain and his crew have started terrorizing Starling City – Michael Amar AKA Murmur (guest star Adrian Glynn McMorran), a man whose mouth has been sewn shut. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) bond over their issues with their fathers and Nyssa make Laurel an offer. Thea (Willa Holland) is forced to come to terms with her father after Oliver brings Malcom (John Barrowman) to the loft to recover, and Lance (Paul Blackthorne) shuts out both Laurel and the Arrow. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Brian Ford Sullivan (#316)."
