During last year's SXSW, Jimmy Kimmel had a staff member interview concertgoers about bands that were appearing at the event, asking whether or not they were fans. The only downside was the fact that none of the bands actually existed... but that didn't stop them from saying yes. The video was a huge success, as many Lie Witness News segments have been in the past. It's also something the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host has replicated time and time again. And this year, he's back with another edition of Lie Witness News: SXSW!

"Last year at SXSW, we went on the streets to ask people about fake bands," Kimmel said during last night's episode. "These are bands that are not playing this festival or any festival because they do not exist."

He then asked if music fans will pretend to know music from a group of bands the JKL! crew came up with.

Well, it turns out they will...

Check out the newest SXSW 2015 Edition of Lie Witness News from Jimmy Kimmel Live here:

Who doesn't live DJ Underwire? He is "really mixing it up with actually turntable-ism, scratching," as one "fan" puts it.

Readers, did you have a favorite fake band from the video? Perhaps Wiz Khalifa's little brother Cheez Whiz Khalifa? Apparently he "has a good sound."

As mentioned, the above video isn't the first time Kimmel's crew has managed to get one over on a concertgoer. Check out the below Lie Witness News editions from the 2015 Oscars, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and last year's New York Fashion Week.
