'A-Force Presents Vol. 1' Spotlights Female Thor, Kamala Khan's Ms. Marvel, Carol Danvers' Captain Marvel!

Earth's Mightiest Heroes are no more in the aftermath of the epic crossover event, Secret Wars. Marvel Comics is putting together its most amazing heroines, such as Female Thor, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), and Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) in A-Force Presents Vol. 1.

As we previously mentioned, Secret Wars features  the Marvel superheroes from alternate realities coming together to meet in an epic standoff. The Marvel's superheroes and super-villains will be forced to defend themselves for the survival of their universe. There will be no Marvel Universe, no Ultimate Universe, or any other, just Battleworld.

We also mentioned, G. Willow Wilson (Ms. Marvel) and Marguerite K. Bennett (Angela: Asgard's Assassin), and artist Jorge Molina (X-Men), will bring in this brand new team in the midst of the Warzones. Earth's mightiest heroines find themselves united against a common threat. She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, and other fan favorites take charge.to fight their enemies as A-Force assembles.

According to the release, A-Force Presents collects a new selection of Marvel's critically-acclaimed female led titles. Each volume of the bi-monthly series includes 6 issues, which are targeted towards young adult readers. Vol. 1 collects the critically acclaimed first issue of She-Hulk, Black Widow, Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, and more.

In an interview with Teen Vogue, Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso describes the theme of the collection, "In a world where virtually everyone has heard of Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and The Avengers, Marvel's female Super Heroes have stepped into the spotlight, spurred on by a rapidly growing base of Marvel fans who just happen to be women. Titles like Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, Spider-Gwen, Thor, Silk and the recently announced A-Force each offer a distinct and compelling reflection of what we call 'the world outside your window.' A-Force Presents collects all of these critically-acclaimed entry points into the Marvel Universe and proves, once and for all, just how powerful the women of Marvel truly can be."
