LGBT 'Star Wars' Character Moff Mors In 'Rogue One' Spin Off Movie? [RUMORS]

Earlier this month, reports revealed that the first LGBT character in the Star Wars universe would make her debut in a new book from novelist Paul S. Kemp entitled Star Wars: Lords of the Sith. Named Moff Mors, this character will soon become canon in the iconic sci-fi franchise, but now a new rumor suggests Mors could be appearing outside of books! According to reports, Moff Mors might show up in the Gareth Edwards-directed spin off movie Rogue One, which has actress Felicity Jones attached. Read more about this rumor below!

So far, we don't know much about Rogue One besides Jones being cast, Edwards being named director and an October 2016 release date being set. A recent casting rumor names Ben Mendelsohn as a possible star, but that has yet to be confirmed. In other words, its really too early to take this new rumor too seriously, though the introduction of the LGBT character into the movie world of Star Wars would be incredible.

Here is a character description of Moff Mors (via Slash Film):

Moff Mors is an Imperial who has made some very serious mistakes but she is an incredibly capable leader and spends much of the book working hard to prevent absolute failure. She also happens to be a lesbian.

This new rumor comes from Cinelinx, which claims a book character could be coming to the big screen via the spin off project(s). Considering Mors is the first important character to be named from the upcoming series of books being published, this might just be speculation putting two and two together.
