'Derby Jackpot' App: Derby Games Offers Kentucky Derby 2015 Horse Racing Bets On iOS! [WATCH]

Just in time for the upcoming Kentucky Derby 2015, Derby Games has launched its Derby Jackpot mobile app, which will bring real-money gambling on horse racing events on the iOS. Wether you win some or lose big, this app will be the first horse-racing, real-money gambling game approved by Apple.

In Derby Jackpot, the gamer picks a horse, selects an amount to bet on. After tapping the "place bet," confirming the amount, then the real race will start. Gamers will be able to bet in actual horse races, such as the upcoming Triple Crown series, which takes place from May to June. The app also turns gambling into a social experience, where you can bet against your friends. Using the interfaces of a social casino makes the gamer feel like they're playing online poker or a slot machine.

According to the official Derby Jackpot website, there are different kinds of bets, ranging from monkey to dime bets. In the monkey bet, you only win when your horse finishes the race in first place. Dime bet is must riskier, the gamer wins when they match the exact finishing order.

In an interview with Venture Beat, Walter Hessert, Derby Games' co-founder and chief product officer, explains how innovative his app really is, "We've taken the horse-racing experience and made it appealing to the broad social gamer and casual gambler. To date, over 75 percent of our players never bet on horse racing before."
