Lily James, Matt Smith Movie 'Pride & Prejudice & Zombies' Release Date Announced: February 19, 2016

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has been in the works for a number of years, but this week we learned that the new movie from director Burr Steers has finally received a release date. According to news from Sony Pictures, this "reimagination" of the classic Jane Austen tale, mixed with an undead outbreak will hit theaters on February 17, 2106. This film's impressive young cast includes Lily James, Bella Heathcote, Ellie Bamber, Millie Brady, and Suki Waterhouse play the Bennet sisters with Sam Riley, Douglas Booth, Jack Huston, and Matt Smith are their love interests.

Coming Soon broke this news along with other release date announcements for more Sony projects. According to this report, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies "offers an 'expanded' version of the Austen classic. The book tells the timeless story of a woman's quest for love and independence amid the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the undead into vicious killers."

James and Smith date in real life, adding a little more intrigue to the film, but will this long-gestating project be a hit?

Sony also set a July 31, 2016 release date for the National Lampoon's Vacation reboot. Starring Ed Helms (The Office) as Rusty Griswald, the son of Chevy Chase's iconic character that decides to follow in his dad's footsteps of taking family vacations. Christina Applegate also stars.

When the Bow Breaks also received a 2016 release date, set for Sept. 16. Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall star as a couple trying desperately for a baby. They hire a surrogate, played by Jaz Sinclair, who soon becomes a dangerous threat to the couples' stability. This movie is directed by Jon Cassar.
