'Justified' Season 6 Spoilers: Twitter Reacts To Jere Burns, Mary Steenburgen's Katherine Hale Shocker! [WATCH]

Based on the crime novels by the late author Elmore Leonard, the final Season 6 season of Justified added to the death count on FX. Twitter had lots to say about the shocking conclusion to emotional standoff between Katherine Hale (Mary Steenburgen), Wynn Duffy (Jere Burns) and Mikey (Jonathan Kowalsky).

In our recent recap, Mikey felt betrayed by Wynn after discovering his idol was really a rat. When Katherine discovered Duffy was responsible for Grady's death, she sought revenge and aimed her gun at his head. Honoring his code, Mikey got in the line of fire as Katherine emptied her clip. After the brutal fight left Katherine dead, Wynn held his loyal bodyguard in his arms until he passed away.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Burns describes how Mikey's death affects Duffy, "Wynn gets to be a human being in the end. You get to know that he really loves this guy. What I also like about the scene is when Mary says, like, Wynn, where do you want it? And I just look at her and say, you know, just shoot me straight on. If this is how it's going to be, this is how it's going to be. It's sort of like Wynn saying, this is the life I chose, and if this is the way it ends, this is the way it ends."

In an interview with Yahoo TV, Steenburgen reveals Katherine's fatal flaw, "Probably her inability to control her need for revenge. I saw her as a woman who came from nothing, who sort of scratched and clawed her way up and was probably mistreated like crazy in her youth. When Wynn ratted out Grady and he went to prison, it caused her perceived standing in society, her ability to go in a silly jewelry store and be handed a glass of champagne by the owner - those kinds of things were incredibly important to her, they mattered to her so much - to abruptly end. "
