'The Following' Season 3: Ep 7 Spoilers: Will Kevin Bacon, Michael Ealy Witness Joe Carroll's Death? [WATCH]

Season 3 of the crime thriller, The Following, continues on Fox with Episode 7, The Hunt. Because of the latest mass murders, will Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) witness the death of Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) at the hands of the serial killer known as Theo (Michael Ealy)?

As we previously mentioned, ex-FBI agent Hardy (Bacon) went rogue in order to catch the notorious killer Carroll (Purefoy) and stop his murderous cult. Because he caught him once red-handed, Hardy thought he could do it again. He never thought those closet to him would suffer the consequences.

In the episode 6 recap by Hypable, Ryan Hardy finally visited Joe in prison. It wasn't easy for Ryan to make that decision, but he needed Joe's help to catch his mentor, Dr. Strauss (Gregg Henry). Joe agreed to help, under one stipulation. Ryan has to visit Joe every single day until the day he is supposed to be executed.

In the upcoming preview of The Hunt, Joe has only 7 days left to live. But another character, Max, also seems close to the Grim Reaper after just having been hospitalized. Could it be a toss-up between Joe and Max as the next body count?

As we mentioned before, the Almost Human actor joined the cast as Theo, Strauss' student. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ealy teases Theo's relationship with Joe, "A lot of that was centered on Joe: although Joe may have been [Strauss'] most notorious student, Theo was his best because, technically, Theo stuck to the rule of thumb. That advice that Strauss gives Theo [about staying underwater], he gave to Joe. And what's interesting about Joe is there's a part of Theo, I think, that actually likes that Joe has done what he's done because Joe draws attention and that enables Theo to [be]. Everybody's focused on Joe; they don't know Theo is a threat. He kind of needs him."
