In the video clip, Beyonce sits behind a piano singing lyrics like, "I wake up just to sleep with you/I open my eyes so I can see it's you/And I live so I can die with you." As The Verge points out, Beyonce's casual look in the brief clip has the feel of a home video, which is a draw for fans looking to get a more intimate look at the famous couple.

Tidal was officially announced last March and endorsed by Rihanna, Madonna, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, E! reports. The new app allows users to access unlimited music without delay "for as low as $10 a month," and reportedly "allows artists to earn money for the music they create."

Beyonce's new song "Die With You," created exclusively for Tidal, seems to be just as much a push for publicity as it is an anniversary gift and unexpected treat for fans. Rolling Stone reports that Tidal has received its fair share of hype and celebrity support with a "star studded" press conference that announced the promise of "exclusive experiences" for users. "Our goal is simple," Alicia Keys said at the Tidal press conference, "We want to create a better service and a better experience for both fans and artists, and that is our promise to the world."

It might be too soon to tell if music fans will flock to the celebrity-endorsed streaming service, but the extra publicity from Beyonce, tied with her new song, can only help the new service gain new users.
