Laurel Lance's (Katie Cassidy) transformation into the Black Canary has been one of the focal points of Season 3 of Arrow, but she is still without the Canary Cry, a key feature of the character from the comics. But could the change on an upcoming episode of The Flash?

Some new photos from the episode "Who Is Harrison Wells?" seem to indicate that Cisco (Carlos Valdes) supplies Laurel with a device to use the Canary Cry.

Comic Book Movie has the photos, which you can check out here.

In related news, Deadline reports that Broadway actress Ciara Renee has joined the series as Kendra Saunders aka Hawkgirl. "Kendra Saunders is a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back, earning her the moniker…Hawkgirl."

The Hollywood Reporter also notes that Arthur Darvill is in final talks to play the time-traveling Rip Hunter aka the Traveler. The site describes him as "a roguish time traveler who hides the strains of being responsible for history itself behind a facade of charm and wit."

A major question about the show is just how Caity Lotz will return as Sara Lance, who died in the Season 3 premiere of Arrow. "I think by the Spring, you'll know," Andrew Kreisberg said in an interview with Green Arrow TV. "We want to keep some surprises going, but we're really excited about that series.... just to add another leg to the tripod, and complete it. We'll get to see some of the characters that we've seen and introduce a whole bunch of new characters, and show them all in a different way, and have the show really feel different. As different as Flash feels from Arrow, this new show will feel different from both of them."

Kreisberg also addressed the show's title. "It’s still very early in the process on that," he said. "We had to make sure to get as much of the cast set as we could before we sat down to break this mega-series with all of these characters, rather than do that and have people say they’re not interested."
