Syfy's 'Dark Matter': Jodelle Ferland, Zoie Palmer, & Roger Cross Set Global Premiere Date! [WATCH]

Based on the Dark Horse Comics graphic novel, Syfy has announced the global premiere date for their new drama series, Dark Matter. Gat ready to launch into space with Jodelle Ferland (Twilight), Roger Cross (The Strain), Zoie Palmer (Lost Girl), Melissa O'Neil (Les Miserables), Marc Bendavid (Bitten), Anthony Lemke (White House Down), and Alex Mallari Jr. (Robocop) in June.

As we previously mentioned, the narrative follows a derelict ship floating in outer space. The entire crew awakens from stasis with no memories of who they are or how they actually got on board. Their search for answers suddenly triggers the vessel's deadly security system. As the relentless android seeks their destruction, they have to work together to survive a voyage charged with vengeance, redemption, betrayals, and hidden secrets.

The adaption will follow the comic book drawn by artist Garry Brown and written by the executive producers and writers of the Stargate franchise, Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie. The original 4-issue miniseries will be turned into a 13 one-hour episode arc.

According to Variety, production of Dark Matter began back in January. Now the pilot will be going global on Syfy, following its U.S. premiere on the channel. Si-fi fans should mark the date June 12 on the calendar.

The show will air on Syfy in 86 countries, including the U.K., France, Germany, Spain and Australia. The channel will also include regions in Asia, Central Europe and Latin America.
