Though HBO decided to cancel Season 3 for Looking, fans shouldn't fret because there will a finale special surrounding the open-ending. Will Patrick (Jonathan Groff), Kevin (Russell Tovey)'s problems, Dom (Murray Bartlett)'s business, and Agustín (Frankie J. Alvarez) newfound relationship be resolved in 2016?

As we previously mentioned, HBO released the statement, "After two years of following Patrick and his tight-knit group of friends as they explored San Francisco in search of love and lasting relationships, HBO will present the final chapter of their journey as a special. We look forward to sharing this adventure with the shows loyal fans."

In the second season finale, Agustín (Alvarez) and Eddie (Daniel Franzese) officially became a couple, while Dom broke up with Doris (Lauren Weedman). Knowing she was really in love, Dom wanted Doris to focus all her attention to Malik (Bashir Salahuddin). Just as they settled into their new apartment, Patrick (Groff) discovered Kevin (Tovey) was still fooling around at massage parlors and using his Grindr app.

The closing minutes showed us a very happy Agustín and a confident Dom gazing at his business. Wanting a new loo, Patrick went to Richie (Raúl Castillo) to shave his head. Did Patrick breakup with Kevin? Or is he thinking of getting back at Kevin by cheating on him with Richie?

When asked for inside scoop about the wrap-up special, TV Line states, "It'll be a two-hour movie, and it's scheduled to start shooting in September with an eye on a tentative January 2016 premiere."

The running time for each Looking episode was close to 30 minutes. Does that mean the HBO movie will be 4 episodes combined together? Will each half hour focus on a specific character? Or will it be one running storyline?

Don't forget to check out out interview with actor Frankie J. Alvarez, who discussed Agustín's arc in the second season.

Readers, are you looking forward to seeing Looking special?
