It's common knowledge by now that Spider-Man will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has fans everywhere extremely excited. The cast and crew of the Marvel world have now started to chime in on the web-slinger's inclusion, and Robert Downey Jr. has offered his opinion.

Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige has already confirmed that Peter Parker, not Miles Morales, will be the Spider-Man in the MCU, and Downey Jr. approves of that decision. He also told E! Online that he wants Spider-Man among the ranks of the Avengers.

"The funny thing is, it all feeds back into itself because now it's got me thinking that that would be something that Stark Industries would actually be diverting funds to and all that," he said.

Is the actor suggesting that Stark Industries is somehow involved with the radioactive spider that gives the wall crawler his powers? Check out the full clip below:

In other news, Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, the directors of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, will helm The Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II, also known as The Avengers 3 and 4.

This means that the acclaimed Joss Whedon, the writer and director of The Avengers and The Avengers: Age of Ultron, will not be back for those two movies. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he explains why.

“Every movie I have ever made has been an ensemble piece of increasingly enormous proportions,” Whedon told EW alongside Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige. “That many balls in the air, it’s only going to get bigger with Infinity War. I’m not going to be able to give it what I would need to. It’s a young man’s game.”

While doing an impression of Al Pacino in The Godfather, Kevin Feige said to Whedon, “Just when you think you’re out, you get pulled back in.” Whedon promptly pointed at Feige and joked, “That’s the other reason I’m not making a third one.”
