Bruce Jenner's transformation is quickly approaching, and while the world looks on to see what the former Olympic athlete will look like once the process is complete, Jenner is telling Diane Sawyer that he has waited for this moment his whole life. Rumors about the star's transgender lifestyle have been circling for the last couple of months, but Kris Jenner's ex-husband is about to open up about the experience for the first time in an all-new ABC interview with the news anchor.

The network scored the first interview with the former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, and they have been releasing promos from it for the last couple of days. In the most recent trailer, fans can see Diane and Bruce walking together with an overdub of Bruce's voice saying, "My whole life has been getting me ready for this."

While Bruce isn't expected to make his transition until late May/early June, viewers of the documentary will get to see the first step that he has taken in his process to transform. According to Radar Online, the 65-year-old underwent a breast implant surgery, and fans will get to see the results in Sawyer's interview.

The site is reporting that Jenner couldn't be happier with the results of the surgery and that he is excited to start shopping for lingerie.

"He will be out of the surgical support bra in the next several weeks," the insider explained, adding, "Bruce is looking forward to no longer wearing the bulky bra, and is excited to shop for lingerie."

As the first step of the transition comes to a close, Bruce seems to be "thrilled with the results," thus far.

The Diane Sawyer interview will air on April 24 on ABC.
