We're sure you, like most people out there, love celebrity selfies that you get to see on respective stars' Instagram, Twitter and other social media accounts. Combine that candidness with the high-profile events of premieres and red carpets, and you've got some great photos to check out! Unfortunately for those that appreciate this medium, the Cannes Film Festival will start keeping selfies to a minimum on the coveted red carpet, starting with 2015's 68th annual celebration, a lineup of which was just announced.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film festival's newly appointed president, Pierre Lescure announced this selfie crackdown during the lineup reveal this week.

"We don't want to prohibit it, but we want to slow down the process of selfies on the steps. We think it's ridiculous and grotesque and really slows things down," he said this week. "You never look as ugly as you do in a selfie."
