Blumhouse Productions has provided horror movie fans with new hits like Insidious, Paranormal Activity, and Sinister, which have all developed into franchises that have been scaring us for years. That's why we're excited about the new film The Gallows, which we got a great taste of this week in the form of a scary teaser trailer. The production house is getting back to its roots with a low budget 2015 horror movie that has been getting some pretty great reviews. Check out this new teaser trailer for this creepy film below!

As you can see from the image at the top of this page, things are already looking pretty grim for this young girl. Since this is just a teaser trailer, you can assume that things don't end too well for her, but we don't get to see too much about the movie. Then after reading the synopsis of the movie, you'll understand why we think The Gallows could end up being one of the best horror films of the year.

Here is the plot synopsis of this new movie, from directors Chris Lofing and Travis Cluff (via Slash Film):

Twenty years after an accident caused the death of the lead actor during a high school play, students at the same small town school resurrect the failed stage production in a misguided attempt to honor the anniversary of the tragedy - but ultimately find out that some things are better left alone.
