Despite being arrested and charged with fourth degree domestic assault just a day before their planned wedding ceremony, reports confirm that former NFL star Jerramy Stevens married U.S. Olympic soccer player Hope Solo on Tuesday evening (Nov. 13). The duo tied the knot just hours after appearing in Washington municipal court, where all charges were eventually dropped against Stevens due to "lack of evidence."  Sports radio broadcaster Dave Mahler broke news of the marriage on Twitter on Wednesday - although Stevens was released from police custody, he still faces an impending investigation into the suspected drunken physical assault against Solo.

Allegedly, Stevens was involved in a drunken, eight-person brawl at a crazy wedding pre-party at Solo's home in Kirkland, WA on Sunday. Police were called to the scene by Solo's brother - an intoxicated Stevens was eventually found hiding behind a bed in an upstairs bedroom, with dried blood splattered on his cheek and shirt. Although a battered-up (and apparently intoxicated) Solo would not corporate with police, Stevens eventually admitted that he and his 31-year-old fiancée  had just gotten into a drunken argument about whether the couple would live in Florida or in Washington State following their nuptials on Tuesday. The 33-year-old former NFL star was arrested and charged with suspicion of domestic assault early Monday morning for his admitted verbal argument with Solo.

Stevens and Solo both appeared in court on Tuesday, Nov. 13 - Stevens was not charged in the case because a court Judge Michael Lambo determined that there wasn't enough evidence to prove the altercation. Solo would not speak to reporters, but her attorney Peter Offenbecher stated that she had not been assaulted at the party. Both individuals were then released - the same day the couple had planned on happily exchanging wedding vows. For more details on the story, go here.

Despite all the assault drama, Stevens and Solo still ended up marrying that night. Mahler posted on Twitter,

@Softykjr: "Confirmed: Jerramy Stevens and Hope Solo were married tonight. Events of yesterday morning didn't change plans. Sounds like more facts comin."

Such marriage rumors were ticked-off by a tweet posted by one of Solo's Olympic teammates, Jillian Loyden:

@jloyden: "Happy to witness such an amazing celebration of real love #selflesslove #fewandfarbetween."

Stevens and Solo applied for a marriage license earlier this November after just two months of dating - it doesn't look like anything could have gotten in the way of the two lovebirds making things official.  So what do Mstarz readers think?
