Hope Solo has been definitely been a breakout star for women's soccer, but now it's women soccer who is breaking up with the star athlete. Solo competed with the women's team during the 2016 Rio Olympics earlier this month, and the US Soccer organization revealed that they were less than happy with comments she made regarding the US loss to Sweden in the quarterfinals, so much so that they decided to suspend her as well as terminate her contract. Hope Solo might have charmed the U.S. during the Women's 2011 FIFA World Cup but now that the star is awaiting trial for domestic abuse charges it seems that her teammates are anxious about putting her on the roster for the 2015 World Cup. Hope Solo, goalkeeper for the women's World cup team back in 2011 has been arrested following suspicions of domestic violence. After allegations that the soccer star had assaulted both her sister and her 17-year-old nephew, she was booked in SCORE misdemeanor jail in South King County, Washington and is being held without bail. She will remain in custody until Monday after making an appearance in court. Read More »
