There are only two episodes left for Season 4 of Person of Interest on CBS. In Episode 21, as the battle for supremacy between two Artificial Intelligences heats up, will Finch (Michael Emerson), Root (Amy Acker) and Reese (Jim Caviezel) find themselves in a bloody mob war they "cannot survive from?"

As we previously mentioned, the fourth season started with Team Machine on the run. With new identities, the group had to lay low or else they would be detected by Samaritan's radar. But all things changed during the recent trilogy, which left Shaw (Sarah Shahi) taken prisoner by the mysterious Greer. Samaritan even sent in its avatar to deliver a message to the President of the United States.

In our recent recap, the Hustle & Flow actress reprised her role as fan favorite NYPD detective Joss Carter. Carter appeared in flashbacks (hallucinations?) as Reese (Caviezel) attempted to solve one of her unsolved cases. Meanwhile, Root, Finch, and Fusco realized Dominic and Elias are in a violent turf war leaving a trail of dead bodies.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, POI showrunner Jonah Nolan teases the war between Samaritan and The Machine will escalate, " It's going to be a very bumpy ride. It's going to go badly for our guys, and it's going to be a giant mess, which is how we usually like to construct the end of every season."

Check out this clip from Terra Incognita here:

Nolan adds that Root may be in trouble in the upcoming episodes, "Amy Acker is one of our favorite people in the whole wide world, an amazing collaborator and actor, just devours everything we put in front of that character, so we've got a lot of twists and turns left for her. But the end of the season is kind of a challenge for all of our characters."

In an interview with TV Line, Kevin Chapman reveals his character will be in trouble, "Fusco gets himself into a situation that he almost doesn't get out of!"

Michael Emerson adds, "It ends on a note of, 'They cannot survive.' That it is impossible that this can go on."

Person of Interest continues Tuesdays at 10pm on CBS.
