Bon Jovi's Daughter Arrested: Hamilton College, Where Stephanie Rose Bongiovi Had Scary Heroin Overdose, Charged with Drugs in NY

Early Wednesday morning (at approximately 1:51 a.m. on Nov. 14), rock star Jon Bon Jovi's 19-year-old daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi was arrested for multiple misdemeanor drug charges after police discovered heroin and marijuana in her dorm room at Hamilton College in Upstate New York. Bongiovi was rushed to the hospital and just released on Thursday (Nov. 15) - she is currently recovering from an alleged heroin overdose. Hamilton College is a well-respected liberal arts institution school located in Clinton, NY that considers itself a "national leader in teaching students to write effectively, learn from each other, and think for themselves."

Bongiovi and another student, 21-yearold Ian S. Grant (both originally from Red Bank, NJ), were both arrested by Kirkland police when drugs were found on their possession in a dorm room at Hamilton College. Bongiovi was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, while Grant was just charged with the prior. Hamilton recently released in a public statement:

 "In addition to violating state law, the actions alleged to have been committed by the students violate Hamilton College policy. The college is cooperating with the police investigation. Our first concern is always for the safety of our students. Out of respect for the privacy of our students and in accordance with federal regulations we do not discuss individual health or disciplinary matters."
