It seems like you can't go a day without hearing some controversy in the Honey Boo Boo realm. The now defunct TLC reality series starring Mama June Shannon and Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson might have been cancelled back in October of 2014, but the gang is still managing to make headlines. While June and Alana's weight loss challenge has been tabloid news for the last couple of weeks, it is June's other daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon that is stealing the spotlight but not for good reason. In fact, the starlet posted a racist comment on her Facebook page earlier this week that has gotten a lot of people up in arms.

According to Radar Online, not only did the TLC star's daughter use the N word in her post but also the R word.

The star took to her Facebook page to give a shout out to her friend Josh Elfird, who she posted as her "Man Candy Monday," crush.

The 15-year-old wrote, "My Bestfriend the person I spend half of the day on the phone with having stupid conversations and being retarded. I've never laughed so hard at someone the way I do you. Josh you're a good guy and I'm glad to call you my Bestfriend and glad to know you'll always be by my side. Love you n**ga."

While the star has gotten some backlash from the controversial post, a spokesperson for the family said she didn't mean any harm by the word but instead used it as a term of endearment.

"She meant it as a sign of affection to her friend," the rep explained. "It was not intended in anyway to be derogatory."
