"Live from Washington D.C., it's the White House Correspondents Dinner! " – or whatever dumb opening line you want to think of. Anyway, it's being reported that Saturday Night Live's very own Cecily Strong is promising some great fun and big laughs while hosting the White House Correspondents Dinner this coming April 25. And given her past as part of SNL's Weekend Update portion of the weekly sketch show, it looks like she is the perfect selection to follow President Barack Obama.

On the new gig, Strong has said that she's been "truly terrified" for the past couple of months, according to Variety. But now, it appears she can't back out, largely due to the fact that it's now a publicly known thing.

"But now that it's closer I think I'm having less time to be scared because more and more time I have to be working on it," she said.

Variety notes that the room in which the correspondents dinner will be held inside the Washington Hilton holds roughly 2,600 people, all of which are from various backgrounds: journalism, media, celebrities and political figures. Pretty much everyone she's taken down on SNL.

And per the tradition, Strong will be coming up after the President, whom she claims is known to be "an amazingly funny guy." In fact, she believes that he's possibly our funniest president yet.

"His timing is great," she notes, particularly citing President Obama's comeback during the State of the Union when a number of members of the GOP clapped as he expressed he has no more campaigns to run.

His response was a simple (yet totally badass), "I know because I won both of them."

"I've never said anything that cool on the spot," Strong says.

Even with that, she has said some rather hilarious things on Saturday Night Live. Let's take a look at a couple of strong segments from, well, Strong.
