Soon-to-be Batman, Ben Affleck, recently came under fire when it was discovered that he tried covering up the fact that his ancestors owned slaves back in the day, something he found out on the PBS series Finding Your Roots. Now, however, it looks like Affleck's cover up gained notice from Larry Wilmore and the Nightly Show over on Comedy Central. So, it looks like the newly leaked trailer for Batman v Superman isn't the only trouble under his newly-found utility bat belt.

Wilmore recently tackled Affleck's subject, joking that, "It turns out his roots were a little too close to Roots roots!"

The discovery was, well, discovered, during some Sony email hacking. You know, the same one that landed Amy Pascal sans a job.

During the segment, which Wilmore titled Ben Affleck's Ancestors May Have Owned Mine, the political satirist notes that the real controversy comes not in the fact that Affleck's ancestors owned slaves, but more so that he didn't want the news to get out.

Of course, Wilmore only continued with the segment once his audience decided the title was indeed funny (as it was) and not over the line.

Check out Wilmore's report here:
