Comedian Dave Chappelle had one hell of a tough night during his stand up set a few nights ago at the Fillmore Detroit. It's being reported that the famed Chappelle's Show star angered the heck out of fans when he was giving a subpar performance, because, well, he was drunk. Allegedly, that is. Though... it seems pretty certain that he was. Now, because of his "performance," those in attendence want their money back.

According to reports from TMZ, Chappelle angered the crowd at this past Thursday's 9:30 p.m. show. The site notes that the Half Baked star was "wasted" as he took to the stage an hour late. They claim, however, he was late due to the fact that the crowded hadn't finished sitting until an hour late.

The gossip site reports that Chappelle told very few jokes, and instead smoked and slurred whatever he was trying to say.

In the below video, amid all the yells and disappointing screams, Chappelle says he's going to get off stage because it was 2 a.m. Of course, the crowd wasted no time alerting the comic that it was only 1 a.m.

TMZ reports that Chappelle's representation released a statement saying, "Out of the 50 shows on the tour, Thursday was definitely not his best set. On the flip side, the incident inspired some additional sharp-witted material and (Friday) he came back with a vengeance."

So, that's good ... for Friday night's crowd, that is.

Take a look at Chappelle's drunken Thursday night "comedy" set below:

After the set, TMZ notes that fans began ripping Chappelle apart on Facebook, calling his performance "a waste of time and money" as well as "horrible" and "more like a press conference."

Folks, would you agree?
