Following the horrific earthquake that hit Nepal this past Saturday, it's being reported that nearly 4,000 people have lost their lives with more than 6,500 having been injured. And now, the Red Cross is heading out to provide aid and supplies to the citizens of Nepal in order to try and get through this terrible disaster. During last night's episode of CONAN, host Conan O'Brien took a minute to address the Red Cross' mission and urged his viewers to donate, if they can.

"As we all know, the country of Nepal was struck by a devastating earthquake this past Saturday," O'Brien said. "Now, rescue efforts [are] still under way, and international aid, in many cases, is just starting right now to pour into that country."

He then urged fans and viewers to go to the Red Cross website, call 1-800-REDCROSS or text "REDCROSS" to 90999.

Take a look at O'Brien's announcement below:

According to reports from CNN Money, international aid organizations are "scrambling" to get relief over to Nepal. As of now, the Red Cross has 300 staff members on the ground along with over 1,500 volunteers.
