We all want to be healthy, live well and feel good, no? Unfortunately, there are some things in our lives hindering us from doing so and causing us to feel all the opposite. We feel unhealthy and live unwell. But now there may be a remedy, folks; it looks like there are a few things we are doing to ourselves that hinder our brains from being the healthiest they can be. So, to help us all out, let's check out a list of habits to break in order for you to nab that health brain you've always wanted.

5. Sitting All Day
Sadly, it's something we all do at work – we sit. But apparently sitting all day is just plain old bad for your health, folks. The sedentary status could very well lead to a further sedentary lifestyle, which could make you more at risk for things such as diabetes, cancer and an "early death," according to The Huffington Post.

4. Drinking
We love our booze. Unfortunately, alcohol can have a very negative impact on the brain. And while they maybe not all be noticeable at first, long term effects can lessen your ability to remember things and learn something new, per a statement from a Rutgers neuroscience graduate student.

3. Not Being Engaged
Don't zone out! We know it's relaxing to come home from a long day at work, kick off your shoes and just zone out for a while. Well, believe it or not, keeping yourself engaged in some sort of brain exercise – puzzles, Sudoku, etc. – can help. A 2013 study showed that brain exercises are "more effective than drugs in preventing cognitive line," per THP study.

2. Stressing
Okay – this one may be impossible to stop, well, because we all stress. But if you give in to it, you could be looking at brain damage, folks. So please, stop stressing so much!

1. Getting Less Sleep Than You Need
Sleep, sleep, sleep! It's reported that not getting enough sleep can age your brain. Per a statement, "sleeping less will increase the rate their brain ages and speed up the decline in their cognitive functions."

So, there you have it, readers. You're now on your way to a healthier brain!
