Four-year-old Luca Martinez got one hell of a jolt of excitement when President Barack Obama fist bumped him before stepping onto the his Marine One helicopter. The child was the kid of Associated Press photographer Pablo Martinez. The father reportedly took his son to the South Lawn to check out the chopper up close. And, well, he probably had no idea his son would get that up close...

CNN is reporting on the bump-seen-around-the-world, noting that the President doesn't stop all too often before heading onto Marine One, but this past weekend, he made a little exception for the young observer.

"Luca wore big goggles," the publication notes, in order to protect his eyes as the President took off in Marine One. He also reportedly covered his ears. Which makes sense considering the fact that helicopters are oh, so loud.

Of course, it was because of this that the President saw Luca. Which is when he decided to head on over, with a big smile, and give the child his signature fist bump.

The publication reports that it was the second time Luca saw Marine One takeoff, but his first time meeting President Obama.

So, while it's undoubtedly cool that Pablo is able to nab some photos of the Leader of the Free World, it's definitely not as cool as being picked out by the Prez for a little fist bump.

Take a look at the video of President Obama's interaction with Luca Martinez here.

Smooth, Luca!
