Time has passed since the Season 7 series finale of Sons of Anarchy on FX, but the show itself hasn't been forgotten. Actors Charlie Hunnam and Walton Goggins have both been nominated for the 2015 Critics Choice Awards for their tremendous work as Jax Teller and Venus Van Dam.

In our previous recap, Nero (Jimmy Smits) warned Jax (Hunnam) that there would be coming back if he actually did kill his mother. In a suspenseful standoff, Jax and Wayne Unser (Dayton Callie) ended up at the same place, pointing guns at each other, in front of Gemma (Katey Sagal). After putting a bullet into Unser, Jax walked Gemma across death row, stopped at the garden, and shot her in the back of the head.

During the series finale, Jax said his goodbyes to his kids, leaving Nero and Wendy (Drea De Matteo) as their guardians. After leaving the club in the hands of Chib (Tommy Flanagan) and Tig (Kim Coates), Jax was speeding across the highway on his father's motorcycle, heading straight towards his death. Nero kept driving towards the farm that he wanted to take Gemma to. Jax's kids would grow up on the farm, without their father beside them.

According to TV Line, Sons of Anarchy takes away 2 nominations for the fifth annual Critics' Choice Television Awards. Hunnam has been nominated for Best Actor In A Drama Series. Goggins earns a Guest Performing Actor In A Drama Series for his role as Tig's lover, Venus Van Dam.

Goggins has also been nominated for his work on the final season of Justified as Best Supporting Actor In A Drama Series. Crossing our fingers he wins for either FX series!
