Cissy Houston Blames Bobby Brown for Whitney Houston's Death: "She Just Had the Wrong Partner"

In the middle of keeping everyone updated on her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina's condition, Cissy Houston has also decided to speak out about her own daughter, the late Whitney Houston. In a one-on-one with Entertainment Tonight, Cissy explained that she believes that her daughter's death was due to the partner in her life, Bobby Brown.

"My baby tried. She did. She just had the wrong partner, you know?" Cissy claims revealing that her ex-son-in-law, Bobby Brown had a crazy relationship with her daughter. "Whitney was a very soft and easy person... She was kind. She was free hearted. All of that, and sometimes people didn't treat her nice."

It has been three years since the legendary singer died, and her mother still thinks about her "every day." Cissy said: "She's my baby." She added, "I had two boys before her and I never wanted boys," The 81-year-old admitted, "I love them. They know I love them. But I always wanted a daughter."

Before she died, Whitney talked about her mother, Cissy Houston and said:

"She's like a little gas station, you know? When you need some strength, you go to mom and she fills you up," Whitney described. "She's the best."

"We were very close," Cissy revealed while watching the old interview of her baby girl. "I loved her so much."

Cissy claims that her daughter died after she "got caught up somewhere" and went down a bad road. "This business is really bad, you know what I'm saying?" she explained. "But she did the best she could."

MStars News prevously learned that Cissy also opened up about her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina and revealed that she hasn't improved, trusting the Lord on what the future holds for her.

"She's the same, she's not progressing at all." Cissy told Kevin Frazier. "She's not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord decides, I'm ready for her...I have nothing to do with that. That's His job. It's His territory, you know? And I understand it."
