NBC cancelled Constantine recently, but discussion about the show's revival continues to persist, and the latest rumors have it landing on the CW alongside fellow DC properties Arrow and The Flash!

Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim spoke to Variety and said that “there’s a lot of desire on everyone’s part” to bring Constantine to the shared DC TV universe.

“It would be wonderful and we certainly have a million ideas -- it’s hard for me to say mainly because A: it’s not my decision to make and B: with Constantine being shopped around to other networks…it’s really hard to make plans when a show’s kind of in limbo,” he said. He added that “a lot of the pieces are in place, except for that one final piece, which is: what’s the fate of Constantine? That’s the tricky thing. But it comes up in the writers’ room constantly -- we have a number of ideas, one idea that’s particularly exciting to me. We’re in a little bit of a wait-and-see mode, like you guys are.”

This is just one piece of a larger discussion about the show on the CW. Last Friday, Stephen Amell, the star of Arrow posted on Twitter that he would be willing to guest star on Constantine should NBC choose to revive it.

If you missed it, here's what Amell posted:

Amell followed that up with "Can't wait. Constantine & Queen want to get sh*t done. Let's make it happen. #Constantine." Whether that happens or not remains to be seen.

At Wizard World Comic Con in Philadelphia last weekend, Amell spoke about crossovers in the DC TV universe, even among shows on different networks.

"There is an opportunity for interconnectivity with any DC television show that exists. Like, as an example, yesterday Constantine was cancelled. And there is…yeah, I know, it’s brutal…it’s a good show, and it should come back. And it may come back, like there are various platforms where it could come back,” Amell said, according to ComicBook.com.

“Now, Constantine was an NBC show. I’m on The CW. I had had discussions with DC… so not NBC, not CW… but with DC Entertainment about guest starring on Constantine when it was still on the air. And that was and is still on the table. So we have Flash, we have Legends of Tomorrow, a new show which is directly connected to the Arrow universe, we have Supergirl… I’m sure it’s going to be amazing… there’s Gotham obviously, and I’m missing something… Titans, there you go... we have no shortage of options for me and other characters to populate.”

But how exactly would the crossover work? Amell explained the logic behind it.

“The reason that I was going to guest star on Constantine, at least the idea that we were throwing around was he’s an expert when it comes to the Lazarus Pit, which is now something that is a part of and will continue to be a part of Arrow,” he said.
