'Madden NFL 16': EA Sports Names Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants Wide Receiver, For Cover!

After calculating the fan votes, EA Sports have chosen the cover athlete of the upcoming videogame, Madden NFL 16. After an an exceptional rookie season, New York Giants Wide Receiver, Odell Beckham Jr., has landed on the prestigious front cover of Madden NFL 16.

As we previously mentioned, voters had to choose amongst the four finalists for the cover. The final four came down to New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham, and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown.

On the official EA Sports site, Randy Chase, Senior Director of Marketing for EA SPORTS, describes the winning cover athlete, "Odell Beckham Jr. is a true playmaker and a perfect fit for this year's game," said Randy Chase, Senior Director of Marketing for EA SPORTS. He's an unstoppable force out on the field, and the Madden NFL 16 cover is further vindication that the fans believe he's a player to watch in the coming years."

The Source adds that the sports videogame will introduce new controls for receivers and defenders. In addition to those new features, EA introduces players with the ability to control their favorite players while the ball is in the air. Along with the innovative game mechanics, there will be new touchdown celebrations, such as Odell's famous "whip-dance."

According to Load the Game, the game will provide brand new QB mechanics allowing you to "be the playmaker." A Playmaker Broadcast allows gamers to be as close to the game as possible. You will be able to play in Connected Franchise, where you can build up a team from scratch as a General Manager, and Ultimate Team Mode, build your perfect team from current players.
