The Avengers, Earth's Mightiest Heroes, are no more in the aftermath of Secret Wars. Marvel Comics has put together the perfect team of amazing heroines, such as She-Hulk, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), and Dazzler in writers G. Willow Wilson, Marguerite K. Bennett and artist Jorge Molina In A-Force #1.

As we previously mentioned, Secret Wars  features the Marvel superheroes from alternate realities coming together to meet in an epic standoff. Marvel's superheroes and super-villains will be forced to defend themselves for the survival of their universe. There will be no Marvel Universe, no Ultimate Universe, or any other, just Battleworld.

As we mentioned before, the multiverse has been destroyed, with the heroes of Earth-616 and Earth-1610 stranded powerless. An entire planet has been made, composed of the last remaining fragments of the alternate worlds. The tyrannical Victor Von Doom rules over the domain with an iron fist, claiming the land as a god and master.

While the rest of the world has fallen, Arcadia is the only living piece of paradise. She-Hulk, the Baroness of Arcadia, leads her team to protect their only home. But something evil and ancient is lurking inside Arcadia wants to come out and get rid of the trespassers.

Wilson and Bennett have done a spectacular job giving each of their protagonists a chance to shine in the spotlight. When Captain Marvel, Dazzler, and Sister Grimm jump into action, the dialogue is full of wit and hilarious one-liners. Ms. America dishes the best lines though when she tackles a laser-spitting shark.

Molina has done a fantastic job filling in every panel with a recognizable heroine. Pay close attention and you might spot Spider-Gwen, Storm, and Rogue in the background. I can't wait to see how they are all integrated into the main storyline. Molina's detailed facial expressions give each character an energetic sense of personality.
