The Squadron plays a major role in the biggest Marvel Comics event, Secret Wars. Hyperion, Nighthawk, Whizzer, Doctor Spectrum and Warrior Woman reunite in this sneak preview of Arrow Season 4 showrunner Marc Guggenheim and Captain America artist Carlos Pacheco's Squadron Sinister #1

As we previously mentioned, Secret Wars features the Marvel superheroes from alternate realities coming together to meet in an epic standoff. The Marvel's superheroes and super-villains will be forced to defend themselves for the survival of their universe. There will be no Marvel Universe, no Ultimate Universe, or any other, just Battleworld.

In the plot synopsis, Hyperion, Nighthawk, Whizzer, Doctor Spectrum and Warrior Womanare the deadliest team of villains Battleworld has ever seen. In their domain of Utopolis, they dispense devastating justice to any and all in their path. But will controlling just Utopolis be enough to feed their lust for power? As rulers from other domains mobilize against them, lies and secrets from within the Squadron threaten to tear the team apart.

In an interview with Marvel, Guggenheim reveals what the team will be, "The version of Squadron Sinister I am doing is very, very close to the original version of Squadron Sinister. They started out as, essentially, this JLA analogue to fight the Avengers. So those early stories were the Avengers versus a version of the Justice League that were all villains, which is really cool. So I'm running with that concept."

Guggenheim adds, "The villains lack that moral compass that keeps heroes in line. When you take away that moral compass, it opens up a lot of storytelling possibilities. If you look at the crimes dramas I referenced, they're chock full of twists and turns. There's backstabbing. There's no honor among thieves and that was something I really wanted to play around with."

As we previously mentioned, we have 5 reasons why we're rooting for Miles Morales' survival in Ultimate End #1.

Squadron Sinister #1 will hit stores June 10, 2015.
